Blockchain: Beyond the Hype. Leveraging digital transformation for value chain integrity

Registration is closed for this event
CEPS, in cooperation with MSL Group is organizing a seminar hosted by Atos on the business challenges and opportunities emerging from new technology experiences that enable the protection of supply chains while helping to combat counterfeiters. Fake goods and food frauds are an increasing economic, health and security threat in many OECD countries, often affecting the safety of consumers or at least their trust. Industry experts, EU and OECD representatives will share the results of ongoing practical business cases and the policy initiatives foreseen to boost the digitalisation of end-to-end supply chain traceability and security. This seminar will address the following themes: •Tested opportunities and limits of distributed-ledger technologies to improve traceability and authentication throughout the supply and value chain. •Governance structures, technical and regulatory requirements for enhancing digitalisation of traceability and authentication. •Cross-border international initiatives to foster cooperation among brand owners, logistic and trade platforms, retailers, technology providers and public authorities.

Participation in this event is exceptionally free of charge. A light lunch will be served from 13.00.
