European Unemployment Benefit Schemes: The public's view

Registration is closed for this event
Many experts agree that completing EMU requires more risk sharing across borders. But what do European citizens think about it? A team from the University of Amsterdam coordinated a project surveying European citizens’ attitudes towards cross-border risk sharing in the domain of unemployment insurance. The results, which will be presented at this event, indicate that there might be more support for cross-border risk-sharing than the political debate suggests; but the actual level of support crucially depends on the exact design of the proposed policies.

Participation in this event is exceptionally free of charge. A sandwich lunch will be served from 12.30 onwards.
